What is Suraksha 1.2 Check-up?
Suraksha 1.2 is a customized health check-up that is designed to help your doctor determine if you are suffering from any blood related disorders such as – anemia, leukemia and other infections; in addition to vitamin deficiencies, if any. The check-up also helps determine disorders of the kidneys and liver related problems. All tests undertaken as part of the Suraksha 1.2 Health Check-up help detect bone-related disorders, kidney and liver disorders. The check-up also offers an insight into the working of the thyroid gland.

Who is advised to undergo Suraksha 1.2 Check-up?
A Suraksha 1.2 Health check-up is designed for all adults – across age groups and genders – to determine liver, kidney, bone, and vitamin deficiency disorders. This check-up is specially prescribed and advised for patients with a kidney, liver or thyroid related conditions. Results allow the patients to remain well informed of any short or long-term liver, kidney and bone related health issues and thereby allows for preventive care.

Preparing for the Suraksha 1.2 Check-up
For Suraksha 1.2 check-up you will be required to give a sample of blood. The blood samples must be provided on an empty stomach. The blood sample will be used for CBP, Lipid Profile, LFT and other tests included in the package.

Blood samples are also taken for ALT and AST tests. This will also test serum bilirubin, serum calcium and other indices to understand the working of the liver.

Typically, a Suraksha 1.2 health check-up can be concluded in one half of the day.

    Complete Blood Count
    Complete blood count measures the count of WBCs, RBCs, and platelets in the blood and indicates any deficiencies. This test helps to ascertain the overall health profile of an individual.

    Fasting Blood Suger (FBS)
    A fasting glucose test determines the sugar levels in the bloodstream following an eight-hour fasting period. This is typically conducted early in the morning hours prior to breakfast.

    Urea, Serum
    The blood urea test determines the functioning of the kidneys. Blood urea nitrogen is a waste product generated by the body and its level indicate the abnormalities in the kidneys if any.

    Lipid Profile
    Lipid profile ascertains the total levels of cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, VLDL cholesterol, triglycerides in the blood streams to assess the cardiac health of an individual.

    Liver Function Test
    Liver function tests are employed to understand the working of the liver and include albumin, bilirubin (direct and indirect), ALT, AST, ALP and albumin serum.

    Protiens Total, Serum
    A total serum protein test checks the levels of protein in the blood stream. The test is undertaken to ascertain the two main protein groups – albumin.

    A thyroid stimulating hormone test determines the levels of the hormone in the body including T3 and T4 levels. Excessive or deficient secretion are both detrimental to the health and this test helps to ascertain the same.

    This test determines the amount of vitamin D in the body which is essential for the absorption of calcium. The vitamin deficiency results in loss of bone density and bone strength.

    This test determines the amount of vitamin B12 in the body which is essential for the effective functioning of the nervous system. The vitamin deficiency results in headaches, incoherent thinking, and numbness of limbs.
